Reception Card Wording

Reception Card Wording

Most couples have a reception in a separate location from the ceremony. In this case, it’s usually necessary to include a reception card with the invitation to give guests the time and location of the reception. Some invitation designs may have room to include this information on the main invitation, but most do not. Reception cards are usually pretty straightforward, and just include the needed info.

There is often room to also include a wedding website at the bottom of the reception card. If needed, something like “For more information, please visit our wedding website at …” or “For maps, accommodations and more, please visit our wedding website at …” can be added.

If the ceremony and reception are in the same location, a simple “Reception immediately following the ceremony” or “Cocktails, Dinner and Dancing to follow” at the bottom of the invitation can be used to indicate that.
