What a way to wrap up Pride month. Today’s Supreme Court ruling that allows “expressive” businesses to discriminate against the LGBTQ+ community should be shocking, but sadly it’s not. That doesn’t mean that it’s not a huge step backwards in the fight for equality. You can always be sure, however, that Uniquely Inviting will continue always be an LGBTQ-friendly wedding invitation vendor and LGBTQ-friendly business.
We proudly work with couples and customers of all kinds and every kind. Uniquely Inviting is a family-owned and operated business. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, it has always been my goal to make sure that other members of the community have a safe, judgement-free space to work with. Back in 2013, two years before the landmark Obergefell v. Hodges case that legalized same-sex marriage nationwide, I started an off-shoot of our business called InviGAYtions (which has since been rolled back in to our main business) focusing on LGBTQ weddings. Our designs have been featured in magazines and websites focused on gay wedding planning.
Our commitment to being a LGBTQ-friendly business is unwavering. We can help with gender-neutral wording, making your designs as traditional or as pride-filled as you’d like, and more. Not to mention our popular pride sticker collection, stylish wooden bowties and pride earrings for all genders.
While today’s ruling is a setback, the fight for equality won’t stop. In June we committed to donating 10% of our sticker sales to Equality Florida to help fight discrimination in our state. In July we’re going to do the same with proceeds benefiting the national effort through HRC. We can do this together and every little bit helps.
